The Wigan Institute of Education is a new teacher training provider – the culmination of two successful legacies in the borough. In September 2024, the renowned Learning Futures Partnership and the Trinity Teaching Alliance joined forces, creating a powerhouse of educational excellence. We're not simply merging organisations; we're weaving together a tapestry of experience, expertise, and unwavering dedication to nurturing the next generation of inspiring educators.

Golborne High School is the Lead Delivery partner for the Wigan Institute of Education in association with the University of Cumbria, which is accredited by the University of Warwick ( a Russell Group University)
