At Golborne High School, we feel that the role of a prefect is a position which allows pupils to become leaders, develop their confidence and work together as part of a team. We value their role and they are a real credit to our school.
The Prefects demonstrate the personal qualities that are valued at Golborne High School: self-discipline, leadership skills, communication skills, politeness, helpfulness, respect and care for others.
The Prefects are both reliable and responsible members of our school community. They wear their uniform with pride and are excellent role models to our younger pupils. They exemplify our high standards through excellent attendance, punctuality, uniform and behaviour.
Normally, Prefects play a key role in supporting the running of the school day and on public occasions such as Open Days and taking prospective pupils and parents on tours of the school. At the current time, the Prefects are involved in digital leadership leading a variety of projects within the school that support their peers as well as the whole school. This continues to be a vital role.
We expect our Prefects to be open and honest, to show a sense of responsibility and to be fully committed to their studies and school life beyond the classroom.
