Our hugely successful Creative Arts Faculty at Golborne High School prides itself on developing confident, creative, independent thinkers capable of producing innovative and imaginative work. Our ethos is built on the foundations of collaboration; of pupils challenging themselves and each other to take risks in the pursuit of creating imaginative and innovative performances.
Pupils are provided with a wealth of opportunity in Performing Arts at Golborne. Every pupil is encouraged to participate in an extra-curricular club. In Music there are numerous vocal groups which allow young people to gain confidence and perform music is a wide variety of genres.
Our groups perform regularly within school and in the local community at events and festivals. The Performing Arts’ Faculty produces a large scale music theatre production every year. Previous productions have included We Will Rock You, Footloose, Grease, Into the Woods, Les Miserables, Ghost, Rock of Ages and High School Musical. Through the school productions past pupils have flourished and several have now gone on to embark on a career in Performing Arts, gaining places at prestigious Performing Arts institutes in the UK.
